As the title states, ha I bought this my senior year of high school as a all stock 1999 SR5 with no intention of wheeling it at all (I never even knew of this wheeling community). My dad had always had Yota trucks and neighbor had a 4runner, so I knew once I saw one I had to jump on it. Tomorrow I've had it for 3 years and its come a long way and still has a lot to go. Thanks to everyone on here who I'm sure I've bugged with questions along the way!
I bought my 4runner with 126,000 miles on it, I currently have 181,000. Right after buying it, I replaced the exhaust, put refurbished OEM rims on it, and found a OEM sport hood for it. I have only been modifying it for the past year or so, but here's my list of current and future mods. If anyone has any suggestions, please leave them below.

Thats impressive for only having it 3 years! I was into my 7th year of ownership before I even started working on it!

Before:

After:

not 100% perfect, but it'll do for now, I'll have to touch it up as time goes on

nice looking rig. really like the stuff ya done to it so far. really like to find the sport hood and factory front skid like your's now has.

Your hood. I've got a 97 4runner and I love the sport hood (I don't have one), even though in most cases it doesn't do anything beneficial. Where did you get it? How much? Did you fabricate it yourself?

whoops, sorry for the late reply, just now saw this. I got lucky and found a guy on craiglist selling one locally, its an OEM one as well. I paid around $250 for the hood, but that doesn't come with the scoop insert, which was another $125 from Toyota.

over the past few weekends I've redone my Satoshi grill, adding a Hilux badge, my buddy fabricated my set of sliders (60"), and I installed my full skids from Ryno All Terrain, everything turned out good!

Man, excellent work. great looking truck and I understand catching the bug and ending up with a build that you never thought that you would work on. Very satisfying feeling. Keep 'em coming

installed a set of Eagle Eye LED lights for the rear, bright as hell!
