So I was looking at my vin number the other day, and realized that my truck was made in august of 2002, infact I looked at the sales for 4runners in 2002 and it says about 77,000 were sold. my vin number indicates that my truck was #078033. does anyone have a number thats after that, or is it published somewhere how many were maunfactured?

I do not think those last few digits in the vin number indicates that. Interesting that your 4Runner is a 2002 made in August. New model year usually begins in July, aside from the 1996 model year which began in November of 1995.

That would be amazing... I like where this thread is going.... Last one made, last one on the road, last one stock... Last 5speed... Etc etc.

The parts listings for parts used throughout the generation always look like this:

11/1995-07/2002 TOYOTA 4RUNNER RZN18*,VZN18* 43-02: FRONT DRIVE SHAFT

I meant new model year production starts in August. I own a very late July production 1996.

Not sure if that's how it works on 3rd gens, but I know the MK3 supra is numbered sequentially. The last numbers of the VIN is what number MK3 you have. Mine is the 46XXX something MK3 imported into the US so there may be something similar for the 3rd gen.
