I will be making a large purchase and wanted to see if waiting until Black Friday /Cyber Monday discounts would be best.

Black Friday would be the next big "sale" period for most companies. You may want to keep an eye out for Group Buys (which sometimes rival or beat holiday sales) depending on what components you're looking at. It's also good to get quotes from multiple companies and have them try to beat each other out for your money - that's what I did for some of the past Labor Day "sales".

If you missed Labor Day, BF would be the next. I still have parts I'm working on installing from last Black Friday since they were the best deals I saw all year

BF for sure. Although you can usually PM offical T4R forum vendors such as RCI for a forum discount at any time.

May also be worth mentioning what your big purchase will be.. some other shops have other sales from time to time as well.
(ie. Wheelwell.com had the $500 off a $1000 order, of 1k off a 3k order recently)
