Woohoo! I saw this clip a while back. I almost got stuck last week on soft water puddle sand at South Padre Island. My T4R is also a 2WD but it never got stuck. People at the island couldn't believe i made it. Love my Runner.

I saw this a few months ago, imagine the poor basstùrd who buys that truck if the moron sells it. He'll come on this forum bragging how he got the truck at a great price and will think it's clean as can be, yeah cleaned with swamp water!

I was cheering for that thing to sink to the bottom of that pond, maybe would have taught him a lesson...

this video makes me glad in 2003 I bought my 4x4 from a soccer mom and it only had 68,000.

I am now at 199k and about to redo heads but at least I know the history and that everything runs great otherwise.

I think new buyers should be very wary of trucks with 150k on them. You are probably looking at serious money between 150k and 250k in preventive maintenance alone. If you don't do the preventative then .... possible truck fail, e.g. pink milkshake or LBJs.

Apparently I'm not the only with head/gasket issues at 199k, I thought it was unheard of but I just wasn't looking.

I love the comments people made on the YouTube vid, they brutalized the kid. My fave: one kid said Jeeps are better than 4Runners, the other kid said yeah J.E.E.P. stands for - Just Empty Every Pocket.
