Those who own a TRD Pro...what does it not have that you want?

Smart key is a good one - again the pre-production ones I was in had it as well.

I think the suspension, for what it is designed to do, is a really nice suspension. It has a nice balance between on-road and off-road performance. Yes there are better suspensions out there for off-road, but those suspensions have drawbacks when it comes to on-road type of driving and longevity.
Again, Nittos are a nice balance between off-road and on-road performance. Depending on what you do there are better tires out there, but it is hard to get the best of both worlds. I would be interested now that the BFG KO2's are out, if 2016 will have these instead of the Nittos. However, knowing how long it takes to get tires on vehicles approved, I wouldn't be surprised if the Nittos didn't stay.

Mediocre isn't harsh if you compare it to the aftermarket options. However as a factory suspension I think it does its job just fine.

Isn't that what the TRD Pro was supposed to be? Rubicon and raptor killer? They could have done a decent job at achieving their goal
I love them, I think they're cool as shit. I even tried to buy a white TRD Pro Tundra. I just hate the owners that think their truck is different than a Trail, or superior or that paying over MSRP entitles them to being a cock

Mediocre is a little harsh I agree. It's a solid setup for stock travel, but there isn't any reason to spend the money on it as an upgrade with what's available in the same price range.

I feel like the TRD Pro kinda like I feel about the FJ Cruiser. It's fine. Pretty good for what it is, but wish it was something else I really want.
The FJ Cruiser should have been a 4 door wrangler with Toyota quality. Not a 4runner coupe. As an FJ40 owner, I really really really wanted a new FJ40 replacement that could be a ligit daily driver.
The TRD pro could have been a perfect balance between the Rubicon and Raptor. Either use a 4.6L v8 or the older 4.0L with a blower. 8 speed auto. I would go so far as to say keep the same shocks/springs, but add KDSS. Add a full set of skids just like the front skid - it's perfect, just give us more. And give us a better roll cage inside that's integrated to the roof structure so you can put a heavy duty roof rack up there that has better structure. Maybe do something a little different like two rear bucket seats and a cooler in between. If you want to go just a little further, toss in 8.7" front diff from the land Cruiser / Tundra so the drivetrain is ready for 35/7" tires.
This could be almost entirely off the shelf parts that are already being manufactured, and would IMO sell as fast as you could spit them out at $50k.
