Thoughts on Raingler Rear Cargo Attic Net

Been thinking this would be nice to hold my pillow, blanket and jackets when ot needed.

Whats everyone's opinion on them?

Does it get in your vision when used/not filled?

Does it cause your panels to not fit well?

Where to get it? any Promo?

I just ordered one of these a week ago straight from raingler, and plan on installing it this weekend. It was a better choice to me rather than the blue ridge attic, because it doesn't hang over the 2nd row seat. I'll follow up with some photos.

That's also why I am interested as it doesn't hang over 2nd row. The 2nd row is tall but better to keep the area clear

I love my raingler net. When it's unloaded there's no inconvenience with seeing out your rear window, when you load it up with what you want it's going to hang partially in your field of view.
I'll try to take pictures Sunday morning when I'm packing up to leave Moab.

I'm looking for real use opinions, as well. I've been wanting to get the full length version, but the price increased quite a bit recently. ($205 shipped early this year, $240 shipped now)

I sold my Blue Ridge Overland Gear attic. I liked it pulled tight against the roof, but doing that leaves big folds in the netting. Plus, it was further away from the back of the 5Runner than I'd have liked.

I ordered mine this past Sunday evening and it was delivered by Thursday. Great shipping time from raingler.

I had the full length. I used it to carry my surfboard. It does not snug up to the roof tight and it will be in your view all the time, but its not bad. I cinched it up with a bungee cord and it was fine.

Yeah, I'm a little torn spending $200 for some fabric to stuff stuff up high... I mean, I won't even spend the $2.00 extra to fill the tank with the next highest octane gas...

The Blue Ridge seems more practical for multiple reasons, but I also don't want anything above the passenger's heads.

So I think I'm going to ask some friends of mine who can sew stuff and ask if they can make something like the BlueRidge, only just for cargo area. If I spend $80-$100 for that, I will be okay. $200 just doesn't make sense for this item.

Thanks, Robert. I'm short, at 5'8", and keep my seat fairly low. Maybe I'll see more in the mirror than taller folk.

Raingler Cargo Attic Installed

Over this past weekend I installed my raingler cargo attic. It's not a terrible install but does take some time to pull the entire rear interior apart to install the mounting points. I was already at a dis-advantage, because I have the Rago modular storage panels installed. So extra step there taking those guys out. I didn't take any pictures during the install, Sorry folks. Raingler does have great instructions for both installing the mounting points, and disassembling the interior. Below are the photos I took today after installing, and throwing some random stuff in the cargo net I had in the back of my 4runner.

I believe I can get it tighter on the mounting points, but the cargo area itself has some pre-built in sag to it.

looks like you could save a few bucks buying a net off amazon for $10 and adding the bungee cord yourself for a few more bucks

his has the straps that tie it to the edges. Those get mounted to the car.

I ordered today and 30 minutes later it shipped. Great service so far and he answers questions really quick.

i saw the one pictured, just offering a more reasonably priced alternative idea.

I just want to put my pillow and blanket up there. Cleaner than in trunk for me. Only soft items up there for me

Blue Ridge and Raingler are cool. But for the money, I'll spend $20 on this contraption... 28"x28" bungee net with a paracord frame. Does the same thing at 1/12 the cost.
