Throttle body butter fly not opening all the way?

Just curious, while looking at throttle body cleaning write ups I notice when using the throttle wire to manually open it, it opens completely horizontally where on my only opens about a quarter of the way. Is this something I should be worried about? This is a pic of it when using the cable

'01-'02 are throttle-by-wire. The mechanical cable is a back-up if the electronic system fails to allow you to 'limp home.' So it can only open the butterfly partially. In normal operation a motor on the other end of the butterfly shaft does the work and can open it all the way.

Huh, good to know. I had noticed this as well, but all this is pretty new so I didn't question it
