02 Sport...Love it but the thundercloud grey is everywhere. The bumpers are not chrome but painted, as are the fenders and it looks a little monochromatic. Any suggestions to maybe get some contrasts going? It has a black rack up top, stock wheels. I’m thinking of chrome nerfs and a chrome bull bar. Any ideas appreciated.

Personally, I think those rigs look great with different colored wheels and that is all.

Man, the monochromatic is exactly what I love about the Sport Thunder Cloud!
My SR5 had a chrome bumper, but I happened to get a Thunder Cloud bumper from a Limited.

I know most members don't prefer chrome but I think it works really well on dark metallic 4Runners (Anthracite, Dorado Gold, Thundercloud)

Black wheels, and if you must do nerfs and bulbar, black on those too (which will tie it in to the roof rack rails and wheels).
Chrome is lame in general IMO, but I think it looks better with colors with more contrast like black or red. Chrome and silver or greyish colors doesn't work well, IMO.
I feel like chrome went out with 80's style show trucks, and personally I LIKE the monochromatic look. Much cleaner and more modern.

The 70's Chevy looking wheels look real funny on there to me, but I definitely agree about the chrome/polished wheels looking good on darker colors.
Take [MENTION=67615]Dirtco[/MENTION], for example [emoji7]
The Mickey Thompson Classic is one of the shiny wheels I really like.

I love my pro comp 1069s and they are basically a cheaper version of the mickeys.
JDM style marker/fender lights like you'd find on the Hilux. They can be installed easily. The wheels are black steelies with chrome center caps. I think some people call them "moon" wheels.
