Tick tick tick sound - help please

Okay so I think this is the timing belt but I just wanted to clarify when ever I start her up i get a slow tick tick tick sound when I start to press down on the gas the ticking pace starts to speed up and progresses as I get faster. Only when I push the petal to the floor for a second and release does the ticking subside. Has anyone ever had this problem before or know what it could be? again, I think it is the timing belt.

could be a cracked exhaust manifold leaking exhaust. I see you have the 4.7 v8 which were notorious for getting cracked exhaust manifolds and it creates a clicking noise consistent with rpms.

The crack(s) tend to be small. When mine cracked, it would stop in less than a minute as the heat would cause the manifold to expand and seal the cracks. I could hear the ticking the best being parked in my garage with the windows down, truck in drive or reverse.

I have the same sound 2004 V8, but I am thinking it's from spark plugs when igniting.
please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ya mine does the tick tick as well. The previous owner said it was a cracked exhaust manifold and that toyota suggested not to replace it as a new one would likely crack as well. It goes away as the engine warms up..so I wouldn't worry about it.

The good ole infamous, tick tick tick tick ticking sound from the exhaust manifold. My baby has been doing that for the past 10k miles. Unfortunately my ticking doesn't go away when the truck warms up, it does get a little quieter, but I found the best solution is turn my stereo up and sing like there's no tomorrow.

Does anybody have a pic of the crack(s) on the manifolds? Or at least know where they usually tend to crack?

looks like your pcv valve is doing this ticking sound. it's a $10 part. i had that same sound and replaced my pcv valve and i did not hear it since.

I've heard some stuck lifters that make an annoying noise and the more gas you give it the faster it ticks but I'm not sure if that is it, just another option
