Time to trash the 4Runner!

My 2018 TRDORP is four months old & while I’ve already got 10K miles on her and she’s been on a lot of gravel/dirt roads, I’ve been babying her because she hadn’t gotten her first dings yet. And I didn’t want to be the cause of the first damage (though me being the cause would have been way better than my wife or daughter being the cause!!)

I just finished washing her and can report not one, but two, paint chips!

Woohoo!!!! First damage is done. Now it’s time for all, uh, heck to break loose!

(Not that I’m going to try to damage her, but isn’t the first damage the most painful?)

You have nothing to worry about. Those two chips are on the plastic part of the body and white is a single stage paint,therefore,it’s more prone to get chipped.

Not worried! Actually kind of happy that the first damage is done and that it's pretty darn minor & nobody's fault. Better to just get it over with!

I'm ocd/adhd and could not handle that. Seriously, that is why I will never have a new vehicle. I can't keep it perfect. If I buy something with imperfections, my expectations is much lower.

My 18' made it 4 days before someone backed into it scuffing up the front silver valance. The following week a friend cracked the plastic pop off engine cover.

Dang, you got that over with quickly!

My work parking spots are pretty damn tight & I am waiting for the first door ding. Going to be really pissed off when that happens...
