Tire dilemma

Ok, so I planned on 275/70R17 Toyo AT3's for the 4runner I have coming in a few weeks. Unfortunately, they are on "backorder" everywhere.

So, I can get the Toyo's in stock size, get something else...or just run the stock tires until I can get the Toyos in the size I want. If I do it now I can get $300 for the takeoffs...if I wait, I'll end up selling them myself for whatever I can get.

265s cost within $5 of the 275s...

What to do...what to do...

I have stock size in the Toyo Open Country - I saw no reason to go up to 275. But when I was looking (3 or 4 years ago), 275's cost substantially higher than stock. I figured mainly because the 265 were so plentiful and more competition amongst the hundreds of available brand/models.

Man, I am glad I do not need tires. Prices are stupid. If you need tires, get the 265, if you can wait and you really want 275, wait.

I'd stick with 265 until you want to make the jump to 285...not sure if that's even something you want in the future...just my opinion.
