Tire tread cut bad!

Do you "rock crawl"? My duratracs looked even worse than that after a couple rocky trails from spinning my tires climbing up rocky hills and slicing them all the way around. I don't have any pictures of them to link to right now here is the closest I have but this one shows a gash and not the cuts very well.

Yes i rock crawl.. I guess that's the negative affect of trying to drive in 2 wheel and locker as much as possible haha. Tires cant cant be older than 3 years as these tires came out in 2014 but I'm thinking it's because of the crawling I do.
So to get a new set of beefier tires or just get the same 2 on the back

Im not messing up the trail at all i promise. I would hate to be that guy.
But its fun and rewarding when you make it over stuff! Plus i'm paranoid about breaking something using 4wd lol

Your tearing it up when you dig in like your tires show. If you're in 2x4 your being that guy. Lol. Just giving your crap. I get crap just for being open diff. I agree it's much more fun and rewarding when your open diff IFS 33" tire rig keeps up with dual locked SAS rigs on 35s. Just takes us a bit longer.

Lol doesn't mean you won't break something in 2wd either. Everytime I go on the trail, I expect something to happen even if I don't want it to. At least if you use 4wd when needed it won't cost you in tires.

You're right on the tire part I'm just dumb for doing it on rocks.. the chances of breaking something in 2wd are less likely for sure though

Its not crawling if your rolling smoke and spinning your way over everything. Crawling is supposed to be slow and deliberate. My tires have their fair share of cuts and chunks but nothing like that and Ive got over 500 miles offroad with them and another 10,000 on pavement
Your more likely to break things the more you have wheel spin, like stripping your ring and pinion. If your smart about it and not just beating the ever living shit out of it the 4x4 on the 3rd gen is very solid. I have done plenty of hard trails with 4x4 and never broke anything or had the slightest concern of breaking anything
IMO its more rewarding to crawl over things without any wheel spin and make it look easy than it is to wear on your tires and spin trough everything. Sure you can do it but what point are you proving? That you know how to use the skinny pedal
