The Tony Kornheiser radio show:
For the uninitiated, we call ourselves the 'Loyal Littles'

Just curious...as they seem to be all over.

Ive been listening since the very first show...Tony and Wilbon talking just to talk. I live in the DC metro area where they both worked for the Washington Post, when the radio show started and was only a local show on am radio.

And ive listened straight thru...

the internet show
his satellite radio days
when the morning live show was rebroadcast at 4pm in DC
the ESPN days-including the 3rd hr
the ESPN 'vacation'
the wash post radio station start-up & failure
the Monday Night football hiatus days
and now on WTEM and his added podcast...

I admit, i understand just about every reference, every inside joke, ive had emails read on the air multiple times, i recognize all of the regulars, and the TK Jingles are thoroughly enjoyable. And as with many others documented over the years, Tony's show also got me through the tough weeks after my father passed away; when i was in desperate need of something to laugh at.

Is anybody else with me on this?

I used to religiously watch PTI and Around the Horn. The banter was excellent and the commentary often went against the grain of how ESPN wanted to portray stories.

When I started working, my hours were always weird and I just didn't get to watch like I used too.

Every now and then I'll turn it on, but I just feel like an outsider now. So much has changed.. :moping:

Well, im not talking about PTI the TV show. TK has had a radio show for decades now. its MUCH better than the TV show, because its not about sports. sure, he talks the main sports stories, but its more so about him, about the daily topics, Wilbon is on the show maybe twice a week. Its more about Tonys' world, and how he lives in it. how he was a lowly reporter for years and years, then ESPN shows up and poof, he wins the lottery of jobs, with both PTI and his stint on monday night football. then he goes from decent job reporter to rich & famous guy...and how his world has changed with all of that. he regularly has famous folks who just want to shoot the ish with him.
