Too many changes, now I have problems

No incidences of stalling since Monday, but it did shudder once slightly yesterday.

I've got a 1,000-mile drive coming up this weekend. Would it be worth resetting the EFI tables just before heading out on the first 475 Mile leg?

The tables are continuously updating. Just go for the drive.

Car stalled at a light again this morning after driving 950 incident-free miles this weekend.

I backed off the TV cable one rev (I tightened it a few weeks ago to remove slack) so we will see if this is in anyway involved.

In summary, 2/3rds of this thread was self-induced paranoia fueled by something new and different.

You're not the first and not the last to do that. It happens to the best of us. When I put the larger tires on I swore I'd blow my motor or trans within a week, Not because of any outward signs of neglect or abuse to either, but mainly because I have shitty luck, lol

Both tires, motor, and trans are doing fine, BTW. Glad you got it sorted.,

Do you notice the ps shudder when the engine is cold, at operating temp normal hot, or does the ps shutter happen regardless of engine temp?
With the engine running in idle and the ps cap off...do you see any bubbles churning in the ps fluid? How bout when an assistant turns the steering wheel slowly when idling in park? Is the ps fluid still solid or has bubbles along with the fluid?

The PS shudder hasn't happened since I first reported it, I think it was due to low engine RPM (best guess) but I will follow up on your other questions/suggestions and report back, thanks!

Truck hasn't stalled since I installed the trans cooler.

Also steering shudder hasn't been experienced in a few weeks.

I love problems that fix themselves

Thought I'd let this thread die as it served its purpose, but I have a question that can probably get addressed easily here, as opposed to a new thread...

I don't have a lower fan shroud. Never knew until now...

Is this something that I can add later, after the radiator install? Seems like it, but I'd like to make sure... Thanks.

The factory fan shroud has a little hoop around the bottom that is removable, is that what you are talking about? If so, its there to allow you to remove the radiator and/or shroud without removing the fan itself. So yeah, it can be added back later if it is currently missing.

Charlie, thanks for chiming-in, and with some good news that I can proceed!

Indeed, the semicircle band that clips into the bottom, where you see the 10mm socket here:

Thanks again.

The Castrol Import ATF is one of if not the best fluid I have found for these transmissions, including having used Redline, Mobil 1 and Maxlife.

With the tranny cooler installed you can now do a partial/full flush instead of dropping the pan bolt....

I've exclusively been using the Castrol MultiVehicle Import since it was first recommended to me. $5.47 a bottle at WalMart vs. $9+ at the parts stores.

Sorry Mike, wrong thread, including the above posts I made...

Does the shudder happen in N or just in D ?

Sometimes sitting at a light my truck will shudder ever so slightly when in D and at a stop. Both engines did this pretty much the same. It only occurs in that one situation and is very light vibration.
