Too much castor?

3/2 Dobinson Lift, JBA UCA’s on 265/70/17 will eventually move up to 285/70’s.

Just want to make sure I won’t have any mechanical issues with this much caster. I wanted it around 4, but there was a communication mix up on my end.

Any concerns with these specs?

Imo if it drives okay, it's fine. 5* isn't unusual in cars in general. Lots of cars spec that or higher. Biggest issue is probably heavy steering wheel and a little more feedback on rutted or highly crowned roads. If it doesn't bother you, it's probably okay to leave as is.

I'd go to another alignment shop that specializes in lifted vehicles if possible. I have the same control arms but mine is only lifted about 1 3/4" in the front and I don't have that much caster.

Mines at 3.5

I have the same lift but with JBA Uppers. Told the alignment tech between 3 and 4, came back at 3.5 on both sides. Drives very nice. I'd have them re-align or take someplace else and tell them no more then 4.0

Nothing wrong with 5.3. Nothing wrong with 4. I run 4.7 with 2.5” of lift in the front. Mine drives great with 285’s and no rubbing. Also no BMC with that much caster.
