No surprise there about #1.

B9 Tribeca... WTF? That is by far the most hideous thing out there ever. And the name, WTF is up with that? It's better if they put the Saturn Vue up there or the Dodge Caliber.

Re: Ford Escape

I had a late 2002 Ford Escape before graduating to the 4Runner. The vehicle was always kept in a garage and maintained above and beyond the service suggestions. It was nothing but one problem after another. One day I went out to the garage to find a puddle of something on the floor under the car. Took it in to find out that there was a TSB out explaining that any temperatures under freezing would cause various parts of the engine to actually break off! I was totally shocked--here was an SUV being sold in Minnesota which couldn't be exposed to temperatures under freezing! That got me interested in just how bad this vehicle was, in light of the one problem after another, so I went to Edmunds and looked up the TSBs. Turned out that the 2002 Escape had 113 TSBs--and many of them deadly serious. Just for comparison I looked at the 2002 4Runner--it had 11 TSBs! Kinda' helped me make up my mind about which vehicle to buy next!

Although happy the 4Runner took 1st.....I can't help but question the integrity of that list with the placement of the Escape and H3....

From the site:

"Each week Yahoo! Autos brings you the top 10 most popular cars in each of the different categories. The rankings are determined by the number of visitors that view each new car."

People are interested in how others stack up to the 4Runner. But after researching over and over on those other "pile" it leads them back to one SUV, the 4Runner, and it ends up on #1.
