First the pros
-price
-looks
-light tire=better mpg
-durability, still have 6-7/32 all the way across
-road noise, fine once I dealt with cupping
-comfort
-decent off road traction when aired down
Now the cons
-cupping when they were new, had to do some creative rotating
-wet traction was never good, is only getting worse
-snow traction was awful, though the snow was very dry that day
Bottom line, I bought these tires after tons of research. Too much research in fact, must of changed my mind 1,000 times. I was excited when I saw the installed product.
Cupping started within 2-3K miles. I had to do cross rotations for several thousand more miles to get rid of it. Road noise/vibration wasn't mud terrain bad but certainly worse than expected for an A/T tire.
The worst part of all is wet traction. Granted there's a drought in norcal but these tires are horrible. I can make them push in a turn with almost no effort. Taking off from a stop kicks traction control in every time with even a light foot.
It's like the rubber is just too hard or there's not enough siping.
I find myself hoping these tires will wear out over the summer, I have a few big trips planned. I really don't want to be on them when/if the rains come again.
Guess it's back to searching, though I think the cooper at3 or atp are the top of my list right now. Will not buy these again.
