It seems no matter what dealer I visit in the Houston area, I get quoted prices greater than Toyota book list prices! Why would anyone pay above listed book prices for anything ordinary?
They call it "Matrix Pricing"
If it was a special part, or a limited edition part I can see why people would pay the above list price.
Because of the Matrix Pricing here, I only buy from the local dealer in Houston when I can't wait for shipping time for online orders. Other than that I only order OEM parts from online, which is 90% of the time.
It would be interesting and nice to hear from other members in other cities chime in on what kind of pricing do you get from your local Toyota dealer for parts?
