Toyota JBL E7008 Nav & XM Satellite Rcvr - for sale

I have a new Toyota 2007 4Runner (model 8688 limited V8) with the E7008 navigation system ("NV" option; made by Denso). I since added a Toyota XM satellite receiver (made by Pioneer) to it. I want to replace this system with one that handles a traffic data feed, which Toyota does not have available.

I have decided to sell the head-end unit and the satellite receiver (but not the speakers or the backup camera). The unit has data version 06.1 of the map DVD (the one that is current with this year's model vehicle).

For anyone interested in purchasing this unit:

- As a reference, the retail of this "NV" option is $2420, and the dealer invoice is $1987 (and that includes the speakers and the backup camera). The satellite receiver costs $600 from Toyota parts. Make me an offer for the head end and satellite receiver.

- I would have the head end unit and the satellite receiver professionally deinstalled, carefully packaged, and shipped to you, insured.

No I don't know what other vehicles the JBL E7008 might fit or what the integration details are; that is not my area of expertise. I imagine many other more knowledgeable folks here can help you.

This unit interfaces with the steering wheel through both a left and right switch pad, and the interface operates very smoothly.

The steering wheel switches are (5 on the left and 3 on the right):

- Left side switch pad (top to bottom): Vol up, Vol down, next selection, previous selection, and change input mode. The mode switch also turns the entire unit on {press quickly} or off {hold down}.

- Right side switch pad (top to bottom): Blue-tooth call hang-up, blue-tooth call initiate, {wide unused blank button}, and voice command.

I know that the left switch pad has been the same since at least the 2003 4Runner limited.

If your vehicle doesn't already have those switch pad configurations, I imagine you would have to get the steering wheel switch pad replacements. I do not know what is involved in replacing the switch pads.

Keep in mind OEMvalue.com sells these units brand new for very decent prices, so you would probably have to come in a bit below their prices.

I just looked at their web site, and didn't see the E7008 (2007 4Runner limited). They have the E7009 (2007 Camry).

I'm thinking that $1799 for both pieces (head-end unit and XM receiver) is reasonable, given that they are only a couple of months old and in perfect working condition.

There are 4 disc positions for CDs, and one for the map DVD. The back-lighting is either orange on black or green on black (user-selectable).

I'm selling the integrated head-end unit (which has pre-amp, amplifier, FM/AM tuner, CD changer(s), controls, nav, and display) and the separate XM receiver (a concealed unit) as a package, any internal integration cables unique to that installation, and the separate navigation user's manual that came with it.

I'm not including the steering wheel switches, the speakers, the backup camera, the GPS antenna, the AM/FM antennas, or the XM antenna, as I will re-use them.

I would have Myer-Emco professionally deinstall the units, and will instruct them to remove any cables which are unique to the E7008.

I would have the deinstallation done upon receipt of a PayPal payment, so it would likely be ready to be shipped about one week after receipt of payment.

If you are located in the US, I'll include priority mail postage (or equivalent UPS/FEDEX) and insurance for the total USD $1799. Outside of the US, you choose the shipment method and add on the difference. I'm guessing the weight of the two units and packaging at about 20 pounds.

If these terms are acceptable to you, we can move the rest of this to a private exchange.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but if someone currently has the JBL 6disk stereo installed wants to install this NAV system then they will need to buy (or swap) out the center console trim and climate controls to make the NAV deck fit properly as the trim pieces are different.

I currently have an 03 SE with the JBL single disk and want to change to the 6disk system, so I am looking to swap the trim pieces I have in my 4runner (which is setup for the NAV system) for the trim pieces needed for the 6disk setup.

Please PM me if you are interested. There are other members of 4runner.org who have completed this swap and say it works perfectly. They have even offered to help if we have questions.

Obviously I would prefer a local person so the swap could be made in person, but I'm sure we can work something out to ensure both parties are covered.
