Well I am bored at work and came across a similar thread and thought I would share my experience with Toyota of Seattle - Downtown.
First Experience: Went there for an oil change after driving from Arizona to Seattle. I don't do my own oil changes because it is just as easy to take it to the dealership. They like to inspect the truck as well so when there is something wrong they tell me and then I can go fix it. Anyway. I was told it would be a 2 hour wait. Not bad, so I decide to have some coffee and wait in the lobby. 2 hours go by, nothing. 5 hours later my truck is ready. Apparently they misplaced the paper work. I was upset, but didn't say much. They paid for the oil change so I was quite happy.
Second Experience: Since they took care of me last time I went back for my next oil change. The dealership was about a 20 minute walk from my apartment so this time I dropped it off and walked home since it was a sunny day in Seattle. I walked back later that day to pick it up. Once I get back to the apartment I can smell burning. So i pop the hood and there is oil EVERYWHERE. All of the fender, bumper, engine, battery. I was not happy at all. I am someone who details my engine bay. I wipe off what I can and drive it back right away. This time I am upset. The service advisor meets me out at the truck with a little rag and starts to wipe down areas. She told me basically this happens sometimes. They had Honda techs in the shop today who are not used to the pumps and they can stick it get oil on the car. But this was everywhere. They were not willing to do anything at that point because it was before closing and I was told to come back in 2-3 weeks it if still smells. I drove it home and cleaned the truck and engine. This helped me calm down and I thought ok atleast it gave me motivation to clean the truck.
Third Experience: I decided to take it back before our drive back to Arizona. The dealership is convenient and driving around Seattle can be daunting at times. I asked them to look over the vehicle if they can because of my upcoming road trip. Everything comes back normal. I pay and I am told the valet will be right around with my truck. Its closing time so people are quickly leaving. Lights start going off. I see a group of young gentleman walk out. I start to think, I don't think I will get my truck. Luckily I catch a service manager and he spends 10 minutes finding my truck. Needless to say I am happy this is the last time I have to go there.
Anyone else have bad experiences with them. I never felt connected to their staff. Each time I felt like I was just another customer. It was the complete opposite of how I was treated each time I would go to my dealership in Scottsdale, AZ which is Right Toyota. I guess it is my bad for continuing to go back but I just wanted to believe it would be different and each experience was poor.
Anyway thats my story of Toyota of Seattle Downtown. I heard they moved to SODO? Any other experiences there? Good and bad.
