Toyota rubber/slush mats for 3rd Gens?

Yes they made them as all-weather rubber mats. I have them. They trap sand and water well and mud for me!

I've heard that the Toyota ones don't last that long.

Ive seen the WT and Husky and no doubt they would work great but I am just a nerd that likes to keep the stock look. I have my 08 4Runner mats in there now and they are VERY heavy duty rubber and work perfect for me. Would just like to get the EXACT fit 96-02 4Runner mats but not having any luck.

Don't waste your time with these mats...unless you don't mind replacing them every few years. I agree, I wanted to stay oem too, but look what happened to mine after only 2yrs of use:

It's the design that is flawed. The rubber fins simply cannot handle the constant use put on them by one's shoes. Over time, the area where the rubber fins meet the floor of the mat break down and start to tear apart.
Weather Tech is the way to go. Pricey, but oh so worth it. 100x better than those rubber "all season" toyo mats.

hell, i bought a set of nice heavy duty ones at a flaps for $50 about 8 years ago and they still look great, just need a coat of armor-all and a pressure wash every so often, my floor mats have out lasted 3 trucks..... lol, just hit up various stores till you find some ones that you like.

x2 on the costco mats. i hunt alot and alot of my friends live in the country and were always hoppin in my truck with mud on our feet and these mats do the trick! my mom got them for her car but i stole em outta there and put them in the runner while it was still my sisters. she hates floormats, so the stock ones werent even in there.

I've had mine since the day I bought it in 2000 - 10 years! They see a lot of sand, salt water, and dirt, and my dog! Not even 1 sign of wear on mine. I must have gotten a good set!

x3 on the Costco Kraco mats. $16.99, Black, Grey or Beige.
Can't beat that with a stick. Pretty heavy units too. They fit 3rd gens very well without trimming.

1. They don't make the 3rd gen rubber mats anymore from what I understand. 4th gen won't fit
2. All toyota mats on on a "stop sell" due to the gas pedal issue (at least they were in the end of December)
3. I'm also like, you and like stock stuff, but the overall impression of these oem mats are garbage from what I've read/heard.

They look stockish and you don't have to worryt about staining or them getting worn because of how cheap they are.
Great pics, thanks. Just so you know, the Toyota mats you had in there were for 03-09 4Runners. Thats why they are a little too big in the back and the extra hole in drivers mat and 03-09 "4Runner" logo. In your thread user
"X-AWDriver" posted pics of his which are for the 96-02. I currently have the ones for the 03-09 that came out of my 08. They are what you had in there.

I agree with the lads about Weather Techs. For me, living in an area with lots of dirt, mud, snow, and slush, these were the best way to go. It was hard for me to press the "order confirmation" button being they were so expensive but once I got them in the truck I was really pleased. They are the best protection for sure and I worth the money. :guitar2:
