Were the Toyota Hilux Surfs made with a diesel engine? Alot of those Japanese cars that are illegal in the U.S are. If these are gas than why can you not take these to U.S?

They're made with both gas and diesel engines.

Vehicles from other markets can be imported into the US if they are 25+ years old, it has nothing to do with gas or diesel.

I can import JDM and other vehicles into CA and get them registered and on the road legally, Ive dont it with rhd civics, integras, nissan s13, s14, supras, and a few rhd bmws from africa and the uk.

No its not easy, yes I can do it but you might not think it will be worth my fees.
