Toyota Truck Found In A Tree

Woke up Sunday morning and had the news on and this report came up.
I laughed and thought "Hell that truck will still run." :lookout:

I guess a 19 year old girl fessed up to the wreck.

SHERWOOD, Ore. – The driver of a pickup that was found stuck in a tree near Sherwood Sunday morning later returned to the scene and was cited for hit-and-run, police said.

Crews found the pickup almost ten feet off the ground in the tree near Highway 99 and Middleton Road. Firefighters used thermal imaging to scan the truck and found it was empty.

The details of how the truck got into the tree were a mystery to investigators. They were first alerted to the crash at 7:30 a.m. and called area hospitals, but no trauma patients came in overnight.

Monday morning a Washington County Sheriff's Office spokesman said 19-year-old Emily Vanvleck, of St. Paul, Oregon, admitted to deputies that she had been driving the truck when it left the roadway and landed in the tree.

She was cited for hit-and-run and malicious mischief. The truck was removed from the tree and towed away.

Funny story...thats my ex-girlfriend...She is okay and in good physical health but it sounds like she is pretty emotionally hurt. I pretty much left at that since our breakup was a bit harsh but ya, jumped out of bed faster than I have ever done before when I saw the news report.

I could not believe the story when I first heard it.
I am glad she is all right and hopefully she will get over this soon.
This will make a great campfire story for her.

that reminds me of that country song I think it's called I'll pray for you..

"I pray your brakes go out at a hundred an ten..."

but in all seriousness definitely awesome no one was hurt. I also have to say that has to be a hell of a woman to climb down from there. I know most of the girls I've been around would have hung around and waited for a ladder truck.
