Anyone heard of the recent "Ever Better Campaign" from Toyota?

I heard about the campaign a few weeks back and never got the time to look into it. So instead of fighting the crowds with my boot and scooter (torn ankle ligament) on Black Friday, I chose to look it up. It is hands down one of the coolest things I have ever seen an automotive company do. Toyota is destined to make "ever better" vehicles and so they sent their engineers from around the world to understand what their consumers go through daily.

I highly recommend anyone that's interested to watch the videos, it will seriously make you love Toyota even more!

Yeah I thought the same thing, but I think it's because they don't build 4Runners in the states, which still baffles me. They brought the LC along b/c it was a part of the expedition in Australia.

Yeah the map was glitching for me too. I would check the videos to see what route they took.

i could see that IF they didnt just put the Toyota name all over that series of vids and sponsorship of the Overland Expedition from the US to Central America...It seemed like they didnt hesitate to put their name all over that...


but yes, maybe that could be the first sign that the 4runner is on its way out...WILD speculation i know...but maybe the 6th Gen will be the last gen...

NOTE: correct me if im wrong, but in the 1st pic of the line of vehicles, isnt the vehicle that is 4th in line/behind the Tundra a 4Rnnr Limited? if this is one of the promotional pix for this thing, they didnt seem to miss it when they began taking press shots.

Toyota doesn't even know what the water-fording depth is for the 4runner.

I think they are going to let the 4runner get old and die. Who else still uses a 5-speed trans?

To be fair, the Big Boy Land Cruiser (not the Prado) comes in much more affordable and "rugged" trims overseas.

As for the 5spd transmission, I can agree that they stretched that 5spd quite a while; but then again even the new 6spd in the Tacoma feels a bit off at later half of the gears and it STILL feels sluggish off the line (a bit better than the 5th gens, but very similar), which is more a Toyota Eco thing than gearing.
