Toytec lift kit time to change

Good afternoon gentlemen, here is my story. I’ve installed my Toytec ultimate 3 inch lift on my 18 OR premium 5 years ago and made 49.000 miles on it, and seemed it was a decent set up. But time has passed and I want to try something different to improve the ride quality and at the same maintain 3 inches up. I don’t do crazy trails but go off road here and there. I now there hundreds of options out there but I can’t really compare mine to anything else. Since than I added rock sliders, winch and SSO bumper. I’m thinking to try Fox or Eibach but again not sure if thats would be a one step up or its on the same level.

I have the ultimate Boss lift and after almost 60k miles the seals and the front right strut have finally give up. I have zero complaints. I'm going to stick with Toy Tec and get the Aluma Series 2.5. I am going to go with the HD rear coils to time around.

Just my thoughts, Id go with FOX.. When my current set is done, Im going with either FOX or King

I have the ultimate Boss lift and after almost 60k miles the seals and the front right strut have finally give up. I have zero complaints. I'm going to stick with Toy Tec and get the Aluma Series 2.5. I am going to go with the HD rear coils to time around.

For Anyone considering Toytec Alumas I would advise against it. They claim they are fully rebuild-able but when I reached out to Toytec they couldn't provide the kits or do the work. The Alumas are made by Elka (Canadian) so they are fully Metric and a PITA to find the parts to get it done. When I finally found a shop to do the work it took months.

My real gripe is with the 700 springs on the front. They are way too stiff for most people's setups and they ride like a dump truck even with added weight. Im also on my second front set after one was replaced under warranty (bushings failed). I really wanted to like these and support a local company but will probably scrap mine the next time I need to re-build them.

I take it by your profile picture, that you have that front bumper with the 700lb springs?

I will definitely not buy same product again since there are so much other stuff to try, but yes kings is probably one of the best if not the best if you have budget for it. It’s around what $4000 or so for a full set.

Correct. It’s a full aluminum w/o a winch so a pretty light setup ~70 lbs with lights.
