Toytech NGTR-4R shocks?
Who makes em?
I just broke a rear shock and need to get some replacements for my stock 2000.
I am not ready to put a full lift on yet, just need to get back in running order without spending a lot.
These are the extended travel shocks used on the Toytech ultimate lift, but they are only $100 a pair.
Does anyone have experience with the ride quality of the shock? Would like to keep a plush ride if possible.
Will these work fine without a longer travel spring?

I could be wrong but I think they are Pro Comp ES3000's.

They are the ES9000's

OP, they are not right for you. They ride much stiffer than stock. Just get OEM replacement. The stock rear shocks are only $30 each anyway.

That's what I'm talkin about. You mean Toyota stockers are only $30 or stock aftermarket? Part numbers would be great if you had them.

Haha, I didn't look at your name, just realized it is you that is asking... sucks to hear it broke. Did it rust out? Are you planning on lifting now? Last I talked to you you didn't seem to want to mod it since it is already so nice.

Yeah, stock shocks are only $30 each (from the right dealer at least, I am sure they will be alot more from dealerships around here). P/N depends on some of your options, dont' remember exactly what you have. You can surf to it pretty easy on most dealer websites. I replaced my rears when I did the axle swap. You can have my old ones. They only have a couple thousand miles on them (from when I did the axle swap to when I did the lift).

Alex (HuntnFish) is coming over to my new place on saturday to help me with my timing belt/water pump replacement. If you want to come over then, you can pull into the driveway and swap them out right there. Let me know if you want to do that and I will PM you my new address.

Ha, yeah I was wondering how I got kicked off the Christmas card list... I have been pretty quiet on the boards lately as I got out of real estate and back into engineering and focused on my new job which is in, ironically enough, corrosion resistant metal alloys. My right rear shock did rust and break at the top stud. Underneath there I also found some nasty frame perforation as well.
Hey that sounds great, thanks I will definitely take your old barely used shocks. They wanted like $85 each at Toy of Watertown. I don't have plans for a lift beyond fresh 99 coils at the most if I decide to keep the truck. My rig is most likely identical to yours, 2000 4wd with 16" 265s so the stock part numbers should be the same.
Saturday sounds great, but it will have to be early. I have plans for the early afternoon. PM your new address and I will swing by with 12-pack in hand.

The Mass contingent gathers.

Sorry to hear about the shock, shouldn't be too bad to replace.

Mine is pretty damn rusty too.

Matt, can you PM me your new address?

Yeah, get me that address too. I think I still have your phone number Matt, so I'll call you if I don't hear.
I hope you guys are getting rolling early, I have to be gone by 11:30 or so.
See ya tomorrow.
