On my way home from work Friday gave it a little gas to kick down the the transmission, no-go check engine lite came on, limped home no power, checked codes, P0120 TPS, replaced TPS all is great, What i did notice the past few months was my throttle response was all over the place, at time I had to bury the throttle to get it to kick down going up an incline,
I tried adj. throttle cable, tried ordering a throttle cable, (No Luck) could it be that these sensors degrade after so many miles and it's as simple as that?
No cable replace or adjust?
Also performed the drive shaft slip yoke service using the Ford TPFE grease,
What a difference! It was unreal the gunk/old grease i got out of the joint when I removed the zerk fitting and pushed cleaner & rag down the joint/spline.
Just thought I would share,
