Tracking New 4Runner inventory (and markups)

I was recently on the hunt for a new 4Runner to replace my 2016. Once I saw all of the markups at my local dealers, I decided to wait.

I'm a software developer and I figured there had to be a way to gather up the new inventory data and compare models easily. My goal was to find vehicles that didn't have massive markups. Some markups are $20K+.

Here's a listing of all new 4Runners available today in the US (7,318 right now):

You can filter the data there however you like. It updates each morning US time. I hope this helps someone!

very interesting. I saw some of those high markups that you mentioned. as nice as the 4runner is it's not worth US$75k. I don't know who in their right mind would spend that kind of money on a 4runner. new car prices are out of hand. in canada I feel like they are even worse out of hand. I saw a USED 4runner that had approx 30k miles on it selling for $80K at a dealer. there was another 160k mile 4runner, 10 years old, listed for $26K online.

I was able to pick up a TRD ORP for a tad under $50K before trade in. Not sure if that is considered too much, but I felt lucky to get it. I had to wait a month for it to arrive, as when I went to the dealership, they didn't have any in stock, but this was on the ship in the pacific.
