I have searched low and high before posting this one, believe me. I know there is a library of info regarding traction control stuff but nothing relating to this...
Running a 2019 SR5. When I first started driving on the beach the traction control would be going nuts almost nonstop. This is in 4Hi and deflated BTW. So I started turning the trac off when on sand and all good. Fast forward a year or so and now when I drive on the beach, identical conditions, without turning trac off, the traction control never activates or makes the noise or flashes the light. It drives on sand exactly the same with trac on, or when turned off. Now I have had the opportunity to drive on some ice and it works fine. It basically just stopped activating like it used to when in sand. Now since I always turn it off anyway on the beach and it worked on slippery ice one might wonder why I even care? OCD is the answer to that question. I have spun the wheels on sand like crazy and it will not activate. But a little ice and it's doing it's thing. I can't figure out what the hell is going on? Anyone?
