Traction Control

Maybe I should read my manual, but is there a way to completely defeat the traction control? With the system disabled it still will interfere and will turn itself back on after a short amount of time.

you're gonna get flamed by others for asking without researching.... but, while you're at a stop or less than 2mph press and hold your traction button until both lights lite up on the gauges.. roughly 4-5secs

In 2WD hold the Trac button, first it will turn off traction control and a few seconds later it will also turn off VSC. Not sure how long it stays off and what turns it back on. In 4WD it`s all turned off unless you push Atrac.

It will remain off until you restart the engine!

I am refraining from telling the OP that's why there is a manual in the glovebox!

What Saker said. Just got my TE last week, and already finished doing my homework of reading the manual. Know thy T4R, and you will know not only thyself but how to drive your rig to its full capability...

Does that turn it all off though? I have never done it but in most rigs stability control remains and that is what stops you from doing doughnuts I think.

Turns off VSC and TRC. I do it every time I feel like being a hoonigan.

It's especially fun to turn off when you're in an icy/snowy parking lot and your inquiring fiancé asks "what does that do?" I recall hearing swear words but I did manage to observe a subtle smile/grin. Haha, gets them every time.
