Trade IS300 for 4Runner (CO)

Was not too sure where to post this, but I am looking to trade my 2001 IS300 for a 4Runner. I had a 2003 Limited 4Runner before, but it was just too pretty for my off roading. I then got a FJZ80 which I hated, so then came the Lexus. The Lexus has about 165k and runs like its brand new. I get about 25mpg.

I just need more room after all for my music gear and also the off roading.

I miss my is300!!! :cry2: I wish I could have it back. One day I hope to own another one... Sad to see you getting rid of yours but glad you're getting the next best thing - a 4-Runner!

it seems alot of ppl with 4runners love the is300 and ppl with is300 have owned a 4runner at one point..wats up with that? good taste maybe?
 
It is not a manual, it is an auto. But I must add one of the best autos I have driven.

I think it comes down to reliability. Both the 4runner and IS are cars you can just put gas in and go. Your not gonna have an engine blow up, your not gonna have a transmission go out, it just built like a tank. I could drive other cars if I wanted too, but I stick with Toyota cause they are truly the best. I had thought about getting something larger like a 7.3 diesel Excursion, but I can't bring my self to buy an American car.

If only Toyota used some of their fantastic diesel engine here in the USA.

2nd that! The auto really isn't bad at all. Mine was an auto, even though I wanted a manual, but I was very very pleased with it and it grew on me quite quickly. It's a lot harder to find one in an manual as well.

rite on brother!... nice to know there still some people that have senses when it comes to buying cars... currently trying my best to save enough for an IS. if i were closer to you i would come check it out but im in florida:ybrick:
add force induction and u got a really fast sedan..:trophy:
 
I'll toss my .02 in about the IS300.

I am actually looking for one for myself. The manual (5spd) began production in 2002. Only 8% (ish) were produced with the manual transmission.

The only 6spd is if someone did an Altezza 2.0L trans swap, or a Supra engine/trans swap. I told my wife, option 1: IS300 with manual OR Option 2: 3rd gen 4Runner....I would be happy with either.
