I sometimes have to wonder when personal expression became a bad thing in this country. I guess it started with social media but who knows for sure? I was brought up with the old adage "One man''s trash is another man's treasure." I've seen lots of strange things in my life, from the thankfully short lived spinner fad, to econo cars with tunable loud pipe cans on them that made them sound like bumble bees, to the inconsiderate people who want EVERYBODY to hear their music. I've never really felt a need to comment negatively about them unless my opinion was asked. Then of course no holds are barred. But unless I am asked I prefer to just allow them to inhabit their own little worlds as long as they're not hurting mine. Who knows who may come up with the next big thing?

YMMV.

PS: If those are what I think they are I almost bought a set of those rims.

I'm sure the folks that do the things you describe make equal fun of all of us with our jacked up monster trucks preparing for the end of the world with all the survival junk we buy. It's all in good fun and the difference now is that tone and body language don't come through email and internet posts.

My guess is this person wasn't to fond of the oem chrome. So they decided to get a trail with no chrome. Then wanted to show how Toyota how it's done with the chrome accents. NOT!. Sorry guy that's a fail.
