Trailer wiring hookup

I recently purchased a trailer to haul stuff around with, and needed to get the wiring on the 4runner working. I wasnt sure if it had any wiring so went and purchased the kit from Autozone, and then found out the wiring ws for newer 4runners. I had seen some posts on here about where the converter box was located, and I knew it was on the drivers side in my old wrecked 98 4Runner. The wiring kit on the 98 was bad as only the left turn signal on the trailer wouldnt work, so I looked on the passenger side, and there it was, all nice and ready to be hooked up. I spliced the wires in with the new kit I bought and then to make it look nice, hooked up a Reese mounting kit to the hitch. Here is what it looks like now, and all the lights work great.

May not look the best, but the wirers are up and out of the way, and I dont have the connector hanging down.

If I were you, I would wrap up the wires with some electrical tape, or even some loom, or both. Perhaps shorten the wires too. Since it's a stationary feature, you shouldn't need all that slack...

Good job getting it working though! One day I'd like to tote a trailer around with my 4Runner. I wonder if my connection works...
