Transmission and motor

I recently just Removed my motor from my 91 4runner. I what was wondering if the metal plate between the tranny and motor needs to be placed in a certain way and wher does this O-ring go It came out while I removed the motor. Not sure if it was from the exhaust or something

Are you talking about the inspection cover for the flywheel? It should go in only one way. I guess you could put it in backwards, but there may be indentations around the bolt holes and where it mounts to the bell housing. I don't know what o ring you're talking about. What engine is this?

Sadly it’s for the 3.0 motor. I just took it to a shop for a rebuild.

That looks like an exhaust gasket that fell out from between the manifold and exhaust coupler

It is an exhaust gasket.
