Help? Doing 5th gear swap 2000 4Runner cast plate and transmission separated slightly

Hello, I’m fairly new here so please forgive me if this is not in the right place. I am currently replacing my clutch and while I was doing that I decided to do the 5th gear swap dyna r452. when I was trying to get the transfer case adapter back on the transmission cast plate it came unseated slightly from the back of the transmission gear box where the fipg seal is . Now I’m concerned it will leak

Probably going to have to reseal it boss.. :-( If the seal contact breaks it needs redone to be sealed.

So I should be able to take off the front bearing retainer with seal and the snap rings and slide the case forward clean and reseal? Then just reverse the order and bolt the transfer case adapter on?
Just want to see if I’m thinking about this the right way

Reseal it. If it opened a bit it broke rhe seal. Do it now, or do it again when it's leaking, and then you have to pull the trans, tcase and all the other bits to fix it. Your right there, it's apart. Just fix it.

Can anyone confirm this is what I need to do to reseal the back of the gear box? Also is there anything else I should be worried about by sliding the gear box case off?
