Transmission bolts nightmare/Engine Removal

How do you get to the torque converter access panel bolts on the drivers side. The damn axle is in the way. Transmission is out except for those two bolts and the torque converter bolts. Can you pull the motor and transmision in one piece? Transfer case is out already........

Stubby ratchet wrench or a long extension and a wobble 12.

I was thinking about pulling the front diff and cv axles, cause thats whats in the way? I can get one bolt with a stubby 12, the other I would have to have something with a lot of reach?

Got them out finally, what a pain and bad location. Guess its not as bad as that top bolt on a 3.0L. Engine is seized, so I had to pull the trans out with the torque converter still bolted on. Was real carefull to pull it out strait. Now on to the engine removal and re-assembly. Thanks for your help above....

That's a big job, you should post pics. I don't think I have seen pics of an engine swap.
