Transmission help

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I found y'all looking for an answer so I hope you guys could help.
I have a 1995 3.0 automatic that I just had the trans rebuilt and it was running great until I hit approx 200 miles on the rebuilt and now every once in a while when I put in gear it will shift hard into drive and seems to be in a low gear and will not shift passed 2nd when driving.. It will throw up a code 52 which is a knock sensor. Would that make the trans act that way?? What's odd is it only does in once in a while... Thanks for any help

No I think it's a sensor or something because the guy I got it from said it was doing the same thing before the trans went out. Of course he tells me after the fact and I had the trans rebuilt.

I can't see the knock sensor affecting trans shifting.
IIRC the EFI ECM will retard the timing to reduce the knocking.
