Transmission issue? Sluggish from stop

From a stop the car kinda revs up a bit and doesn't go, then goes with a jerk. Trans fluid was changed 5k miles ago as well as gear fluid.

Not sure last time I greased the driveline. Could that be it? Or something major.....

Wife drive it first, said it was worse when cold. 8 mins later it was "better" not perfect.

Assuming your vehicle has no dipstick and uses TYPE WS fluid. You could be low on fluid.

I would have the transmission fluid level checked by a Toyota dealer or a knowlegable mechanic who knows how to check the fluid level.

Ok, now I'm thinking its not a transmission issue. Doesn't matter what gear I'm in - Drive, Neutral, Park - when I hit the gas the car bogs down and acts like it wants to die then revs up.

Also - no CEL and no codes

I'd make sure the ATF level was correct.
The procedure to set the level is very particular.
Has to be the right temperature, engine running, and level check plug has to be replaced when the ATF stream goes from a heavy stream to a lighter stream.

Update - car was at 3/4 tank. So I put 5 gallons of Rec 90 in thinking maybe the pure gas would help if there was too much alcohol in the fuel in the tank. Car runs WAY better. Not 100% but i'm 99% sure it's the fuel. I have a 'slight' hesitation still from stop but not as bad as it was yesterday. Going to refill with 93 octane the next few fill ups to see where we're at
