Transmission Rebuild. 1995 4x4 3vze R150

1st gear is slipping out under load at around 1500-2000 rpm and I'm pretty sure it is my synchros. I have a buddy at a transmission shop who said he'd do the work for me if I pull it and get him a rebuild kit. I'm going to replace the clutch while I'm at it. The issue I've ran into is I can't figure which rebuild kit to get. I know it is a R150, On Cobratransmission.com they have two kits, one for a 59mm OD Rear main shaft bearing and the other for a 72mm OD Rear main shaft bearing.
I've called Toyota USA, the local dealership, Marlin Crawler and Cobra. Even giving them my VIN they are unable to tell me which kit I need. They all say I need to measure the bearing.
My questions are these:

Does anyone know how to figure out the size of the bearing/rebuild kit before taking it apart?
How do I get to the rear main shaft bearing?
Does anyone know of other places to pick up rebuild kits?

I'm wondering if the difference has to do with the 2WD vs. 4WD transmissions as I know they were a bit different.

I think we might actually have an old rebuild manual for the R150 at work. I will check tomorrow and try and let you know as soon as I can.

So I wasn't able to find the rebuild manual for the R150 at work, but I got the next best thing! Was talking back and forth with a co-worker and brought up your tranny and he just said to pop off the input shaft cover and that should be the bearing you need to measure.

You should be able to see the p/n on the bearing from there.

update

I've been able to narrow it down to the 59mm bearing, but not we can't figure out if its a one piece 2nd gear synchro or a multi piece. Toyota split it half way through 1995. The date on my VIN tag says built in 09/94 and Cobra Transmission says that their books shows 94-95 taking the single piece but that it also has 95 stand alone as starting with the multi pieces. I think what I'm going to do is break it apart and see exactly what I need to replace before I start ordering kits that might not even fit. I'll post pictures.:juggle:
