Transmission shutters..??

So my rig has about 170 miles on it and an aftermarket tranny cooler. When traveling around 25 or 50 mph occasionally the Rpm's will fluctuate 500 to 700 and I will feel this slight shuttering. Also once In a while when coming to a stop my rpm's will settle to about 600 then suddenly drop to 400 and give you a very slight jerk. I'm going to check the levels - my concern is that I like to take my truck deep into the woods on fishing/camping trips and the last thing I need is to be stranded with a blown tranny. Everything else operates normally in the tranny and the shuttering/slipping issue is more often present when using cruise control. Thanks!

i dont think its tranny related.

sounds more like vaccuum leak or faulty maf. also try cleaning your throttle body and iacv first.

or your getting a misfire, might need new plugs and or wires...

when was the last time you did a tune up? i too, do not think this is a trany issue

Wow how did I not think of this lol. You guys are geniuses I think youre right, tune up is on the to do list. I forgot to mention my sangauge will show my MPG as 99999 when it happens while driving.. I don't think I'm getting quite that mileage :$

Run it by the parts store and ask then to pull the CEL codes. Could be any number of things. So much is sensor controlled that what might look like one system is actually coming from another.

I have a scanner.. I had the engine light on 2 months ago for the TPS. I replaced it and a week ago the light came back on for the TPS again. I cleared it on two occasions and it hasnt been back on..
