I have a 92 4Runner, 3.0.
I am fairly certain my shifting hesitation while in Drive is due to a faulty solenoid. I have not attempted this operation before and would like some advice if this a do-able thing for a backyard mechanic.
I do believe there are 3 solenoids in my tranny. How do I know which one is the one that controls Drive, and when I order from the auto parts, how do I go about requesting the correct one? I have already gone to one auto parts and the clerk could not identify which solenoid controls drive.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
