I took my 05 4Runner to the dealer at 110,000 miles for a transmission service. Since the service it has an odd sound / feel when I let off the accelerator especially at lower speeds. For example - when I slow down and it's shifting from 3rd to 2nd, it has a higher pitch sound for about 2 seconds then it sounds normal again. It also lets off an odd vibration and the tachometer jumps oddly. What the heck is going on with this? I'm wondering if they got the fluid level correct. It accelerates fine and otherwise drives normal. Any thoughts?

What exactly is your dealers transmission service? The A750f was sealed on 04+ V8's and 05+ V6's. It requires a very special procedure that must be done at operating temperature to ensure a correct fluid level. When mine was serviced - they did a complete fluid exchange and used 16quarts of WS fluid on the appropriate equipment (not a flush).
What do you mean by high pitched sound - is it actually coming from the transmission?
take the 4r back to the dealer! tell them whats going on with the tranny sense the flush, and they should check it out and fix the problem no cost to you. dealers guarantee there work for so many miles. my dealership i work at guarantees 50,000 miles after every service. You honestly should bring it back the next business day so if there is a problem it wont worsen.
I think your advice is sound. My problem is that I've relocated 700 miles from the dealer who serviced the car. I had it serviced so I would be comfortable driving it that distance and would not have to deal with it upon arrival to my new residence. I guess that back fired on me!
That shouldnt be a problem. If there is anyway you can find the number to the dealership you went to call them up explain whats going on. See i work for a Lithia dealership, We have 50 stores located around the US and if someone moves out of state they can go to any lithia dealerships and get service work done that has been messed up, and it will just be charged to the dealer that did the wrong.
