TRD Air Filter?

Does anyone have the TRD air filter in their 3rd gen? Just curious, i was thinking of getting it. Ive had K&N before in my other cars, but i was wondering if the TRD one is better, and if anyone has noticed a difference with it VS the stock filter.

they say the trd one is just a rebadged cheap one.

apparently, the k&n is better.

I would like to see some proof on this. I highly doubt toyota will take a crappy product and rebadge it and sell it as a performance product.

cheaper than K&N, not cheap as in it wont work.

From what I have read Amsoil is the best on the market as far as filtering for a stock replacement

sounds good. especially after that article, amsoil seems to be the way to go.

I just went with the AMSoil filter last month it is working well, I cant say I have noticed a change in gas usage, but it has been really cold here lately so I let my truck warm up which uses fuel not counted for in millage. IT was also a lot cheaper than k&n or TRD

just picked up the amsoil air filter, and i must say i like it a lot! not a huge difference in accelerartion, but throttle response is better, and its a bit louder under acceleration which i like. it drops right in and fits perfectly. i want to see how mileage is now with it in.
