Trd decals

I received my trd off road decal in the mail a few days ago. I'm wanting to out them on in the normal spot in the rear.
But I'm not too sure how to place it over the gas cap, any ideas or suggestions?

I would just put it over the gas cap like usual and use a knife to cut it and tuck it in the gap.
