Posted on the book face. "select online parts dealers"

"Our minds have been racing for 40 years! On April 4th, join us in celebration of TRD's 40th Anniversary and enjoy 40% off select #TRD accessories for 24 hours, only at participating Toyota Parts Center Online Dealers!" Toyota Parts Center Online | Genuine Toyota Parts & Accessories

The link is just for Toy USA parts. Nothing about the sale of discounts. So, real or click bait? Anyone know?

It says you have to choose a dealer...does that mean you are restricted to local stuff or that you have to hunt for parts you want?

I scrolled past over ten dealers before I found an actual dealership that is participating in this. I think you can order from any dealership in the country as long as they're participating.

Most of the dealership options just show a phone number to call and their parts websites are different than the one I found that is participating. I called three local dealers near me and all three knew nothing about this discount lmao.

Maybe Bayou_Pro knows more?

Also, what is the weight of the 17x7 TRD wheel that has msrp of 215 in silver and in black?

Yep I've never heard of that either. I'm betting is just for the dealers that have a true online parts center. Most local dealers just link off of the Toyota corporate site.

I'm going to talk to my parts manager and see if he knows anything about it. Just want to see the look on his face

EDIT: Spoke to my parts manager and our dealer is participating. Online orders only and discount is applied when you ad item into cart

I read the post on Facebook and it said that items eligible will be marked with a "Green Discount Flag" indicating they're part of the sale.

So it doesn't look like a coupon code or anything will be necessary, just gotta find the right things that are on sale.

There wasn't much for a 4th Gen in the sale (not surprised).

So I bought a TRD oil cap and radiator cap.

Thought about the cap but the shipping was expensive.

They don't sell the cold air intake for a 2017. Seems like someone posted something once about figuring a way to make it work.

I read it will work you just have to unwrap the electrical tape for the maf sensor so it can reach the new position. I decided to order just the parts and saved around 80 bucks without the trd oiled air filter... you would still need 20" of 1/8 vacuum hose and some zip ties to make it work if you go this route..

I ordered mine from Evans Toyota in Ft. Wayne, IN. I'm in Ohio and the shipping was only like $8-9, but by ordering out of state I saved myself from paying sales tax. Had I thought through it more I would have just ordered one from a dealer just across the river in KY and selected pick up next time I'm down there.
