TRD Headers installation helpful info please?

i have a set of TRD headers that i have had for a while and havent installed yet. i have researched but havent found a writeup of and installation in detail. is there anything yall know or can point out to me? i have seen some writups on other sites but more of just complaining of how hard it was. i have a 2000 toyota 4runner 4wd. has a 1" bodylift as well. 3.4l v-6. TRD supercharged. Thanks

A case of beer and a ton of patience. I haven't seen any write ups, but I've heard it's an absolute pain to do. I'd look for another companies header install guide as they should pretty much be the same. I'm interested to hear how it goes and performance gain.

I don't have the TRD headers, but I do have OBX headers, and yeah, they were a pain to install. I ended up unbolting the engine mounts and using a jack to hold the engine up while I maneuvered the engine and tranny enough to fit the headers in. If I were to do it again, I'd take the engine out and slap them on real quick. It would have been much easier. I wish I had taken pictures and steps to help anyone along, but at one point I got too frustrated and wanted to get it done quickly haha

Its a bunch of work and may require a small amount of exhaust fabrication.

Since you will be doing the work yourself you can remove everything, test out the fitment and then have the small amount of the Fab work (if needed) done at The Truck Shop. They installed my Downey headers and customized a section of the exhaust to fit.

Bambi runner 6 and BrianSD _42 are spot on with their assessment of the task. Likewise, we both pulled the engine and fab the Borla exhaust to fit.

You will notice a difference in performance yet even more so the sound when coupled with a tuned exhaust system, priceless.

Yep, I ended up doing a full custom fab exhaust with a Magnaflow cat and Borla muffler to get everything to fit too. I installed the headers myself though and gave the cat and muffler to the shop and had them make it fit haha

it was one of those numbers. cant remember though. been a while. but i remember trying to sell them and posting here somewhere where i mentioned part numbers. i wanna say it was the 007, but not 100%
