TRD hood swap question

Has anyone done the non scoop hood to the scooped hood swap? I have a 2016 SR5 and since finding someone to swap with doesn’t seem like a realistic option I am just going to purchase a hood and have it painted. Does anyone by chance know exactly which parts I need to purchase and what I can use from my existing hood? Thank you

I looked into the same thing a few years ago and I was told its exactly to same. Toyota of Dallas quoted me less than $900 for part, paint and install.

You need the hood and parts #18-24. I think the hoods are the same price and the parts needed for the scoop are about $90 or so.

BTW, can't use any of the existing parts from the existing (non-scoop) hood except for the mounting bolts to the engine bay hinge.

Buy a scoop and stick it on. Much cheaper. The scoop isnt even functional.

Friend Does NOT want his Tacoma Hood Scoop

In case it might help... my friend with latest gen Tacoma does not want its hood scoop. He'd be happy to swap with same color taco without a scoop (so Cal only please).
