I guess it's just me, but I have never had trouble with Terra Grapplers in the rain. I drive conservative in the rain and maybe that's why mine aren't slipping. I love these tires. Some of the best AT I have owned. They are definitely not king of the hill though. They do perform better in the rain that BFG KO2s though.

As for snow, living in central Texas I feel I may never find out. Although we are planning a December trip to New Mexico, so I actually might find out.

...Funny, another Texas dude here just thinking the same thing... Admittedly, I don’t drive like I used to, which is why I like my 4Runner. I’m very happy that it’s “slowed” down my driving. But to the point, I think the TGs work just fine in wet conditions (a whole helluva lot better than my stock Dunflops did)... BUT, as stated, I have a lighter foot these days. And I never go above 65-70 in the rain anymore (in any car for that matter). There’s just no need IMO.

But this is all subjective, and if I were throwing down a logical perspective, my guess would be that NO AT TIRE would perform well at high speed/intense rain conditions. You’d have to go the Michelin LT route for that...

What tire pressure are you guys using for the Nitto Terra Grapplers?

I run mine mostly at 30-33 depending on conditions. That is on road. Off road ranges from 10-25.
