New-to-me 2019 TRD OR

I got this 2 months ago after retiring my old faithful 3rd gen T4R limited and getting rid of the 2015 Taco. While I still miss the 3rd gen T4R, this is a nice upgrade in comfort and power. I wish that it had the multi-mode t-case that the 3rd gen limited did.

I specifically got the OR trim as I wanted the lever operated t-case and e-locker. While the crawl control is nice, I doubt that I will ever use it.

I don't plan on very many mods, in fact the first thing that I did was a bit of 'un-modding' by removing the strut spacer "lift" kit and getting rid of the Load range 'E' KO3's. I got some Nitto Grapplers in "P" rating and the rig drives a lot better for me.

I can see replacing the stock shocks/struts with 5100 Billies in the spring, but that's about the extent of any changes that I will make.

congratulations on the new rig. honestly with the ridiculous cost and upcharge on accessories/mods these days the best thing to do is just get out and drive the rig. I've been meaning to replace my arb compressor that crapped out 2 years ago with a new brushless model but the cost is just making me not want to do it. on board air though is a mod that is very well worth it if you're looking for any ideas

The 1st thing that I will build for it is a sleeping platform for car camping. I want to get back to CO this summer, it's been 3 years since I last went when I took the 3rd gen and just disappeared into the San Juans for 2 weeks.

I also got a 2019 Trd OR 4wd, lifted the rears 2inch anf fronts 2.5inch.

2019 is the last year before Fed mandated "safety features". Great choice!
If you solo camp try a cot, all your gears goes under nicely.
I fold the wide 2nd row -set up cot, the other 2nd row seat makes a comfy chair for sitting, dressing etc, just roll onto cot for sleeping.
I use variety of mattresses on cot depending on temp.
Plus all gear takes little space in garage.
