TRD PRO markup??

So I was driving by my Toyota dealer and saw a sweet Inferno TRD PRO and when I looked at the price it was 42,995 + 5,000 :wow::wow: He offered to give me 1000 off and offered 30k for my 2011 trail. 47 grand seems very very high. He went on to inform me that there will be no 2016 4Runner and they only get 2-3 a year and this was their last one. Oh and if I wanted to order one its 6-7 months. Hahaha

Midwest region fair price of 2015 TRD Pro according to KBB is: $41,122 - $42,239. 47 grand is unreasonable. Tell them to take a hike.

Toyota just announced the 2016 TRD Pro lineup changes this past week

Deceitful sales methods

Lying salesman will not last.

That's a shame. Were you talking to the manager or a salesman willing to say anything to make a commission? I'd probably want to have a talk with the manager. They may have the last TRD Pro in So Cal or the southwest, but is that any reason to price gouge?

What's the KBB value on your 2011 4Runner? Is $30k a good price?

If you really want the car make an offer of full MSRP (sans the markup) and ask for the same $30k trade in value. Then you'd have a good deal. The trade in lowers your sales tax, correct?

LA/Orange County is full of reputable dealers who will give you an honest offer. Shop around. The TRD Pro is overpriced compared to a TE with a lift, IMHO. And there's little room for discounts and deals on the TRD Pro.

Honestly I still think 42,995 is way too high for what you get. My 2011 is far more capable than the TRD PRO. Oh and it was the GSM that told me there would be no 2016 4Runner and my truck was worth only 26k but he was going to pay me 4k for the mods I have done to it. Which is false because I got a letter in the mail stating my 4Runner is worth up to 28,900 hahaha. They are so full of shit.

i had to educate my dealership on the 4runner lineup... he is full of it. just bring in a bunch of cheaper trd pro pint outs off cars.com and say youre willing to travel. thats what i did and i got a decent deal

Toyota Irvine? They're the WORST.

Just visited DCH Toyota of Oxnard. They just got a white TRD PRO in. MSRP on it is 42,xxx and then next to that on the window is the dealer markup of $7,500. I had to laugh. Guys were super aggressive with me saying they would give me way over what my trade is worth. No kidding they will with that kind of margin. Crazy. I do like those fake leather seats though. Anybody know if you can buy those seats anywhere? Would love them in my 2013 Trail.

you my friend got away with rape. Thank you for the being the rapist and showing the dealers what it feels like for once.

Lol I took my usaa true car price bullshit in and told them if they didn't want to play I would have it transferred to another dealership to buy. They let me walk clean out of my Audi I got rid of too.

msrp

East coast Toyota in new jersey , wanted to charge me $7500.00 ! over msrp. When I laughed and started walking out the door, they said they would do 2500.00 over msrp. I've never paid msrp in my life for a car, let alone over msrp. I drove two hours to a dealer in PA and unfortunately did pay msrp "goes against my principles" but I wanted the truck. Dealer did give me a very good price for my 2014 Rubicon.

That's why I got 2014 Trail. I was able to get almost 3k under MSRP which is 12k under Pro marked up price. With 12k I will pay off faster and I can get stage 6 Icon and still save 6k....!!!

Really funny pricing. I haven't check the 4runner Pro but I saw Pro Tacoma marked up for 5k.... Co figure.
